To communicate regular sales promotions we were given a brief to create a set of over 30 banners. Each sale had a theme and was assigned to either a date or event or a season. 

Initially the solution was created before the communication kit was created – it was a quick temporary solution to use characters from the English universe of the workbook. 
The second solution was within the visual communication kit – to create a theme-based spot illustration for each individual banner. These banners were stunning, but required too much production time + no system was in place for the meanings of visual and how they related to text, since there was no specific pattern to the text itself. 

So eventually after a few stages of trial and error I came up with a solution based on celebratory confetty visuals we created for something else. It allowed to move the artwork away from specific themes or subjects and leave that function to the text only. Yet the visuals communicated joy and celebration, suitable for the purpuse of the banner.
